Boulder falls

Boulder falls is a quick hike with a beautiful waterfall at the end.

If you can call it a hike, it’s only 100yard, located along Boulder Canyon.

It reopened in June 2018 after 5years of being closed due to the 2013 flood. The trail was damaged and rocks were falling, making it unsafe for people to adventure there.

Because of the easy access, the short hike and beautiful reward I recommend everyone to go check it out, especuially families with young children.

But I would pair it with something else to do, just because it’s so short. The city of Boulder offers plenty to do before or after, like the creek and creek path, downtown, Chautauqua Park and the Flatirons, Red Rocks trailhead is also very kid friendly and beautiful just at the entrance of the canyon.

Up the canyon, Nederland is a wonderful option to go to after or before Boulder Falls. There you have the carousell of Happiness, restaurant, cute little town and other easy hikes.
